Disneyland truly is the happiest place on Earth. From yummy
treats, to nostalgic rides, and mesmerizing shows, every
corner of this theme park is full of magic. Today, I’m sharing with you my
tips and tricks on how to maximize your fun at Disney!
Treats
Ok, so this is really my favorite reason to visit the park.
From all of the themed goodies, to seasonal favorites, there’s always something
yummy to try at Disneyland. Here are some of my must-haves when I visit, in no
particular order. Grab a slice of pepperoni and Caesar salad at Alien Pizza
Planet in Tomorrowland. The bread bowl
at Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square is hands down the best thing to
eat here, and my favorite is the beef gumbo. Carts! Keep an eye out for those
carts for some amazing treats, including: churros, frozen lemonade, and
popcorn. Mozzarella sticks at The Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland are so good.
Finally, no trip is complete without a frozen pineapple treat from Tiki Juice Bar
in Adventureland. Bon appétit!
Rides
Some rides are fan favorites and some have lines so long you can camp out. Here are some of my
favorite rides and attractions. My top five include - Pirates of the Caribbean,
The Haunted Mansion, The Tiki Room, Roger Rabbit, and Small World. Honorable
mentions go to all the rides in Fantasyland and the Jungle Cruise. If you are
going to ride some of the popular ones like Space Mountain and Indiana Jones,
make sure to get a Fast Pass to bypass the long lines. In addition to the
rides, make sure to catch the fireworks display at night, as well as the
seasonal parades and parties, and character meet and greets all throughout the
park. You’re probably wondering which rides I think you could skip – sorry, I
think they are all good and worth at least one go-around.
Best Time to Visit
When is the best time to visit Disneyland? Since it is a popular destination, it’s always going to be packed to the brim with kids and those who are
kids at heart. The least crowded time to plan a visit would be midweek and during the school months.
Since that’s not always practical, I’d say visit during non-peak days
(check their website), and especially non-peak hours (after 5pm). The
holidays are always a fun time to be at the park – from the decorations, to the
holiday treats, and all the festivities – it’s one of my favorite times of the
year to be at Disneyland. Honestly, whenever you do decide to go, it will be a
spectacular time. And once you’ve been enough times, you’ll know which “land”
to visit or skip, and how to map out your day to make the most of your time
there.
